Here's my latest list of potential grad climb routes, color-coded like ski slopes.

You won't necessarily get to choose your grad climb route, but this might be useful in planning out some moderate climbs for the next season or two.

I've started a list of suggested practice routes at the end.

 

Potential grad climb routes:

  1. Swanson Arete 5.5/2-3 pitches     CO : Eldorado Canyon SP : Redgarden - Lumpe to the top
  2. Fandango 5.5/4 pitches/grade II     CO : Flatirons : First Flatiron [exposure, long rappel, some runout]
  3. Right Standard 5.6( ~ 5.8)/4 pitches/grade II      CO : Estes Park Valley : Fall River Road (US 34 West)
  4. Future Primitive 5.6/4 pitches       CO : Eldorado Canyon SP : Shirttail Peak [protects well]
  5. Batman and Robin 5.6/4 pitches/grade II       CO : Lumpy Ridge : Batman Pinnacle
  6. Theodore 5.6/5 pitches       CO : Fort Collins : Poudre Canyon [1 hour approach trail. Good candidate!]
  7. Mountaineer's Route 5.5/3-4 pitches       CO : Eldorado Canyon SP : Shirttail Peak [-see conflicting beta]
  8. Jaws 5.5/4 pitches (330 ft)       CO : South Platte : Turret Dome [short]
  9. Schooldaze 5.5/3 pitches       CO : South Platte : Turret Dome
  10. Whetstone  5.7/5 pitches (500 feet)/grade II   CO : Estes Park Valley : Big Thompson Canyon
  11. Blockbuster 5.6/3 pitches/grade II       CO : South Platte : McCurdy Park Tower [I didn't like it, but someone else might. Remote. Chossy.]
  12. The Ytrid Deed 5.6/3 pitches       CO : Eldorado Canyon SP : Tower One [not a first choice, but a good alternate - some runout]

  3. Alexander's Chimney 5.5/5 pitches (1000 ft)/grade III       CO : Alpine Rock : The Diamond - Long's Peak [wet rock, committing route.]
  4. Center Route 5.6/3? pitches/grade II        CO : Alpine Rock : Hallett Peak
